Councillors at Seaford Town Council have voted unanimously to support the Plastic Free Coastlines campaign to make Seaford a plastic free town.
Action has already been taken in Seaford Town Council offices and The View restaurant where single use plastic items have started being removed.

The Town Council are committing to use plastic free alternatives and supporting plastic free initiatives within Seaford, which includes the Surfers Against Sewage and their Regional Representative, Claire Summers.
Claire has set up a Steering Group to help achieve Plastic Free status in Seaford. Once the town is awarded with the ‘Plastic Free Status’, businesses within the town will be awarded with approved business stickers and certificates.
The next beach clean for Surfers Against Sewage takes place on Sunday 13th May starting at the sailing club from 10am.
