The Sussex Gin & Fizz Festival returns on Saturday, June 29, to the beautiful walled gardens of Southover Grange in the heart of Lewes. Now in its third year, the festival celebrates the many award-winning wines and gins made in Sussex. Visitors can enjoy free samples, learn about the production process and buy drinks by the glass or bottle direct from the producers. Industry experts will be giving informative talks and answering questions on all things Gin & Fizz in the Events Tent, and there’ll be fabulous live music and DJs all day, specially curated by Lewes’s own Union Music Store. A great variety of local artisan food outlets will be tempting our taste buds, including the delicious Kabak, Betsy’s Bake, and Vintage Scoops Ice Cream. New for this year, the Sussex Gin & Fizz Festival is running two sessions: a family-friendly daytime event from 11am to 4pm, with a laid-back village fete feel, and an over 18s only soiree from 5pm to 10pm, which will see Southover Grange Gardens transformed into a twinkling Gin & Fizz Palace, complete with cocktails and Harvey’s Bar. Tickets are available from www.eventbrite.co.uk, Lewes Tourist Information Centre and Harvey’s Brewery Shop in Cliffe High Street, Lewes. Tickets for either session cost £15 for adults, or £3 for 14–17 year olds, and free entry for kids under 14 (daytime only).
