The Seaford open space known as The Salts is an absolute picture at this time of the year.
Gone are the austere rugby posts that are a constant reminder of winter to be replaced by the tranquility of the cricket pitches.
The hard working ground staff must be congratulated for their upkeep of the outfied which is beautifully mown in symmetrical circles and is an absolute picture.
Seaford has four Cricket elevens and there are matches every Saturday and a joy to watch the teams in their whites.
Besides the Cricket the other areas have all been upgraded by the local Council and the Children’s play area is much improved.
A mini Gym offers some gentle keep fit for all as well as two new table tennis tables.
The long established tennis courts remain as popular as ever.
The new skate/bike park is progressing well and should be ready for the Summer holidays.
As well as all this the Salts Cafe offers all types of refreshment from cold drinks and ice creams to hot meals.
And a little secret- a highly accomplished band rehearse in the shed next to the cafe some early evenings; definitely worth a listen!
So all in all no reason not to use this wonderful facility.
