Seaford Town Council and the Christmas Magic Committee elves are busy at work bringing together plans for another magical Christmas experience here in Seaford for Saturday 7th December 2019, make sure to put the date in your diary!

Seaford Christmas Magic will be bringing the sounds and smells of Christmas with a full range of entertainment and attractions for the people of Seaford and the surrounding areas.

The Seaford Christmas Magic Team are assembling a great variety of entertainment, ranging from Choirs and Carols and Christmas songs to dance to folk to funk to some amazing vocalists, Seaford Christmas Magic showcases some of the very best talent that Seaford has to offer, and they are all donating their performances to the day so please do support them.

There will be a main stage at the top of Broad Street and ‘Tansley’s Performance Stage’ (sponsored by Tansley’s) further down Broad Street as well as Seaford Christmas Magic Unplugged, an all day acoustic event in St Leonard’s Church.

The main stage will be at the top of Broad Street and will offer great entertainment all day drawn from the wealth of talent in Seaford and the surrounding areas. And at 5.30 come and watch the great Seaford Christmas Lights Switch On at the main stage!

11.00 am Seaford Choral Society – Community Choir

11.20 am Pop Up Singers songs for Festive Cheer

12.00 pm Megan Rose Mulpeter – Singer/ songwriter

12.30 pm Jamie Morgan with Virginia Thorn – Music and song

1.00pm SPRuNG – acoustic folk band

1.45pm Concensus Chorale – a choir with heart

2.15 pm Vocal repertoire – young people get the opportunity to sing and perform

3.15 pm Mike ( Butch) Lynch – well established performer playing and singing music from the 50s to the 80s

4.00 pm Julie Terry with Boogie Sound Machine – a high energy set

5.00pm Archway Choir and Christmas Lights Switch On

Also there will be performances in Tansley’s Yard off Broad Street.

Styx Drummers will be drumming around town during the day

There will be story time at the Seaford Library from 1.00pm to 4.00pm on the hour and lasting for fifteen minutes

Why not enjoy some street food and mulled wine from stalls and business premises alike, to warm you up whilst enjoying the fantastic live entertainment. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to grab some Christmas presents from the market stalls with festive goodies! Be proud to support your local community and peruse the goods in the local shops too!

For families with young children, Santa’s Grotto will be found at Seaford Barn Theatre. Follow the trail through the craft market stalls as the helpful elves from Seaford Youth Forum direct visitors to a magical Christmas grotto experience. Visiting the ‘Elf on the Shelf’ in his Christmas snow globe on your way, climb into his snowy Christmas globe scene and have your photo taken with him, at the bottom of Broad Street/High Street.

Colour your Christmas with lantern making workshops at St Leonard Church Hall with SCIP (Seaford Contemporary, Illustrators & Printers). Coloured tissue papers, custom designed and cut stamps will be available in abundant supply, from 10 – 3.30pm. Even if it is not possible to join the lantern parade at the end of the day, do pop along and make a lantern for free. The Lantern Parade is a highlight of the day, for both the children taking part and the onlookers. It begins the build-up to the switching on of Seaford’s Christmas lights by Father Christmas. The Christmas Lights will be switched on at 5.10pm.
