HOW TO SURVIVE THE PARTY SEASON WHEN YOU’RE CUTTING BACK ON THE BOOZE

Nation’s favourite festive tipples revealed and what to drink if you’re one of the 16% having a dry Christmas.

They say “Tis the season to be jolly” and for many Brits that’s exactly what they have in mind when it comes to celebrating Christmas with their family and friends but for those trying to avoid the temptation to drink, the festive season can seem a little tricky.

However, Christmas can still be full of festive cheer with the array of exciting low and non alcoholic options ranging from beers to non-alcoholic bubbly ‘nosecco’ to sparkling chardonnay grape juice.

In fact, with the rise in those who are ‘sober curious’, it’s no surprise that sales of non-alcoholic beer, wine and spirits are at a record high, with Co-op reporting that sales have more than doubled over this period with a 121% increase.

When it comes to our favourites, beer tops the list as the nation’s No 1 drink. It’s closely followed by some more traditional festive favorites- red wine, prosecco, Irish cream and a warming glass of mulled wine.
