Have Your Say on Sussex Police Funding – A Reminder about Smarter Policing and Safer Streets

Following the Government’s announcement on 22 January about the police funding settlement 2020/21, Sussex PCC Katy Bourne is now able to consult with residents on a rise to your local precept (council tax contribution).

She has launched a snap survey to find out how Sussex residents feel about a proposed average increase of 20p a week, equating to an extra £10 a year per household.

If you have not already done so, now is your chance to have your say. It takes just 30 seconds to complete:

Just a final reminder:-

The survey closes at midday on Thursday 30 January 2020.

Mrs Bourne said: “We need to focus on bringing crime down, so this settlement means that PCCs can invest more into policing to tackle crime and keeping our communities safe.”
