Marking ‘National Nest Box Week’

Youngsters, and the young at heart, are invited to decorate a bird box at a Newhaven garden centre during half term.

The unusual event is hosted by family-run Paradise Park in National Nest Box Week and offers the chance to customise a home to entice birds into the garden.

Guided by local artist Aimee Harman, the event at the Avis Road store is timely as our birds will soon be nesting.

“We are looking forward to welcoming Aimee who is a popular artist with lots of experience of encouraging children to develop their artistic skills”, said Sarah Mead from Paradise Park. “The sessions are bound to be popular and early booking is advisable. This is an indoor activity, so no matter what the half term weather throws at at!”

There are three sessions throughout the day on Wednesday 19th February. Full details and booking onlineat: paradisepark.co.uk
