FIVE UK CITIES MAKE THE TOP 100 WORLDWIDE FOR TAKING ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Bournemouth, Coventry, Leicester and Greater Manchester have joined London on the annual list of the 100 cities worldwide being recognized for their transparency and action on climate change.

Out of the 850 cities reviewed worldwide, London has – until now – been the only UK city to make the top 100, known as the ‘A List.’ It is published by CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) which is a global not-for-profit that uses data to track and report on what businesses and authorities are doing to combat climate change.

The UK cities have been recognised for setting an emissions reduction target, publishing a climate action plan and implementing a number of carbon reduction schemes with local businesses and authorities.
