Easter holiday bin collections

Because of the upcoming bank holiday weekend, most refuse collections (black sack rubbish) are happening a day early this week.

Please put your refuse out for collection from 6am a day earlier than usual. If your bin isn’t collected don’t worry, please just leave it out the next day and we’ll collect it then.

For more information on bank holiday refuse variations for this week and next please see the back of District News or visit lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk/bank-holiday-bins

Or to make it easier:-

If your collection is 6th April it’s normal,7th collection on 6th, 8th collection on 7th, 10th April collection on 9th; normal 13th April( Monday) collection collected on 14th April; 14th April collection ( Tuesday) collected on Wednesday 15th. If your collection day is normally Wednesday 15th, it will be collected on Thursday 16th; Thursday 16th collection will be made on 17th April ( Friday) and if your collection is on Friday 17th, that will be a Saturday collection on 18th April.

It will help to put your bins out on the right day, otherwise they will be overflowing by next collection and we all know what a mess the seagulls can make with loose bin bags!

Recycling and Garden Waste collections are continuing as normal, on the dates shown on your collection calendar.
