Delighted customers at a busy Newhaven garden centre made the most of the first weekend’s refreshments in over three months. Paradise Park threw open its coffee shop doors on Saturday and welcomed back faces old and new. Among the first in for breakfast were locals Helen and Mike who had missed their favourite egg on toast.
Outside the children’s play area also re-opened, although to comply with government restrictions the indoor soft-play centre must remain closed. Among those first to the swings and slides was young Apolline Clift from Seaford (pictured).
“It was a busy weekend”, said a spokesman, “and lovely to have the atmosphere of the coffee shop and outdoor attractions again.”
The Avis Road site hope to run their train and re-open the indoor areas when permitted.
