Maria Caulfield MP joined fellow local residents to help prepare Pells Pool ahead of their reopening to the public.
The Lewes MP joined other local volunteers to clear weeds from around the pool to ensure the area is clear and welcoming for the pool’s re-opening following the government mandated shutdown in March. Pells Pool is set to re-open on either Friday 24th or Saturday 25th July following a delay in supply of equipment for training & assessment of lifeguards in new Covid-19 secure procedures.
Maria Caulfield MP said “It was a pleasure to join the other volunteers at Pells Pool and to help tidy it up ready for their re-opening. I have received so many emails from residents who love swimming at Pells Pool and were desperate to be able to get the go ahead to get back in the water from the government. Everyone at Pells Pool have been working hard to ensure that no only is it cleared of weeds but also that Covid-secure equipment is in place and that staff get extra training.”
