Brighton & Hove Bus Services are changing from 30 August

Some information from Brighton Buses about the revised bus timetable starting this Sunday. Obviously with schools starting up again there are sure to be some challenges.

If you haven’t been on board buses for a while then please take a look at the safer travel guidance, you can also read about what they have been doing to help make using the bus safer and give you the confidence to travel.

Just a reminder that most of the services are changing on Sunday 30 August and on Monday 31 August (bank holiday) and they will be operating a Sunday service.

School journeys and school routes will be running again. They are converting a number of regular bus journeys to be available to schoolchildren only, as well as adding extra school buses (schoolchildren only journeys are open to those aged 18 and under). Schoolchildren only journeys are clearly marked on the timetables.

Full details and PDF timetables for each route are available on the service change page

Getting you back to school safely
Safety is of paramount importance. They now have six months’ experience of providing bus services safely during the pandemic. They have put plenty of safety measures in place such as extra cleaning (using hospital grade products) plus on street cleaning is carried out up to five times a day directly on the buses.

They have reduced cash handling to minimise contact. If you do pay in cash a change voucher will be given in return which can be used in exchange for further journeys. There are alternative payment methods to cash such as the key smart card or mobile app. Find out more here.

For more comprehensive information, including details of schoolchildren only journeys, visit our school travel information page.

Further safety information can be found on our main coronavirus page or FAQ page.
