Maria Caulfield MP is encouraging community groups and village organisations in the eastern part of her constituency to apply for community grants from Wealden District Council.
The Wealden Community Grants Recovery fund offers grants of between £500 – £5,0000. These need to be spent before the end of March 2021. The closing date for applications is 1 November. Wealden District Council hope to be able to start releasing funds in December 2020. An editable pdf application form can be downloaded by searching for the Community Grants Programme on the Council’s website.
The areas of Maria Caulfield’s constituency covered by Wealden District council include Polegate, East dean, Friston, Alfriston, Chalvington, Ripe, Selmeston, Alciston, Wilmington, Berwick, Folkington, Litlington and Lulington.
Maria Caulfield MP said “I would encourage all community and voluntary organisations covered by Wealden District in the constituency to consider applying for these Grants from Wealden District Council. Between £500 and £5,000 could really make a big difference to voluntary organisations across the villages in this area.”
