Never mind Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, Villa Park or even the Amex.
It is the home of Lewes Football Club, the Dripping Pan Football ground that has been named the best football ground in the land.
The findings come in a book called ” British Football’s Greatest Grounds” which took six years to compile and surveyed hundreds of football fans.
The ground has one covered terrace, one uncovered terrace, a grass bank with walkway and a covered stand; a total capacity of 3,000 with seated accommodation for 600 in the main Rookery Stand.
Great to have a local ground recognised in this way, but it does make one wonder who was asked!
