An Eastbourne visitor attraction is inviting nominated Covid heroes and charities to join a special film screening

Sharnfold Farm, situated on the Hailsham Road between Eastbourne and Stone Cross, is hosting its Farmyard Cinema: Festive Fun on the Farm event between December 4-23.

The event is billed to ‘take you on a magical and Covid secure festive adventure like no other.


Donna Bull from Kent Entertainments Limited said: “We are creating something magical here at Sharnfold Farm for the festive period.

“Tickets are going very well and Boris’s announcement will mean more people will now be looking to celebrate Christmas with something special to do.

“We felt it was only right to invite some of the people locally who have truly gone above and beyond during the two Lockdowns.”

For the screening on Friday December 4th nominations are being asked for, people who have gone that bit extra to make life easier for others.

It could be anyone who has made a difference, however small. Even if just a regular phone call to a vulnerable person or helping out a neighbour.

Fifteen people will then be asked to attend a first class experience on December 4 with a unique showing starting at 4pm. A guest is also welcomed.

December 10 at 4pm It’s A Wonderful Life

December 14 at 4pm Miracle on 34th Street

December 15 at 4pm How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Tickets are offered at half price to charities. Businesses are being asked to be added to a roll of Honour if they donate the other half of the ticket price.

Special rates are also offered for school trips or companies wishing to stage a Christmas party night that is covid secure

Look out for other films between December 4-23 including Home Alone, Love Actually, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Die Hard, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Elf, It’s A Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street and The Holiday.

. The experience starts with a snow-covered wintry wonderland surrounded by Christmas trees adorned with festive lights and decorations.

Then a walk through a mesmerising light tunnel will take you to the enchanted forest cinema auditorium.

Each screening is limited to thirty people due to covid social distancing.

Cost is £25 per ticket.
