  19. Wadhurst Church of England Primary SchoolPartly Closed: Tuesday 5 January 2021Reason: COVID-19 local arrangementsThe governing board and I have decided that we will not reopen as planned on Tuesday 5th January to all children. At the current time, we will look to welcome all children back on Thursday 7th January although this will be kept under close review. As we are yet to receive updated risk assessment information from the local authority, we need more time to be able to carry out the thorough risk assessment process that we need to, based on the worsening circumstances that we find ourselves in. This includes taking into account the potential staffing issues that we may have. Children of critical (key) workers will be able to attend on site only if it is not possible for them to learn safely at home. I cannot emphasise strongly enough that the purpose of closing the site to the majority is so that we reduce social contact and therefore reduce transmission. As a result, if you are a critical worker and your child is able to learn from home, it is important, for everyone’s safety, that they do so. We will do all that we can to provide you with as much support as possible for remote learning and Miss Thompson will tomorrow send out all the details that you will need for this.
  20. Wivelsfield Primary School, Wivelsfield GreenPartly Closed: Tuesday 5 January 2021Reason: COVID-19 local arrangementsThe school is closed for all pupils except children of key workers and vulnerable pupils because, due to concerns about the transmission of Covid 19, there are insufficient staff in school for it to open safely.
