A recent news item pointed out the folly of messing about on the railway tracks when two young ladies were spotted on the track at the Tide Mills Seaford pedestrian crossing over the railway track.
One of the ladies lay down on the track, while the other took pictures on her phone.
They were lucky this time because a train did not appear. Had a train been running it would probably not been able to stop in time by the time the driver would have spotted them due to the speed of the train.
No wonder the train hoots loudly when on this stretch of track – but better not to be on it! Be vigilant.
