It’s National Apprenticeship Week and Sussex Police would like to celebrate all their hard working and dedicated student officers and police staff.
Currently they have 174 student officers studying for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA). The course is a three-year workplace learning programme that prepares new recruits to become fully competent Officers whilst achieving a bachelor’s degree.
Additionally, they also have 83 police staff students currently studying for the PCSO Apprenticeship and Diploma in Community Policing Practice. Sussex Police were one of the first forces in the UK to launch the PCSO apprenticeship in 2019 and they’re incredibly proud of each person that has committed to this public service apprenticeship, as it requires hard work and perseverance.
