News from Seahaven Storehouse – can you help?

We have received some update from Seahaven Storehouse who run one of the local foodbanks. Please read to get a real insight into what they are doing for the community and do really think about how you can help.

“We have now extended packing and delivery to two days, Wednesday and Thursday, with two separate teams, due to the volume of clients who are needing to be fed.

Our priority items this week are: CARRIER BAGS!! (Can be brought down and left in foyer of our building at 115-117 Vale Road, Seaford on Wednesday or Thursday, 9.30 a.m to 3.30 p.m) Soups, Rice, UHT milk and Biscuits.

If you are not already aware you can now donate by specifying Seahaven Storehouse as your favoured local charity when you shop at Seaford Co-op.

For every £1 you spend at the Co-op, the Storehouse receives 2p to buy much needed food. If you are a member or non-member and would like to support us, please follow our link below, sign up and remember to use your loyalty card every time you shop!

We currently spend over £1000 per week buying groceries for our clients so every penny counts. Currently we are feeding nearly 300 people in the Seahaven area, including 140 children. That’s 80 to 90 boxes per week.”

Make one think of the true scale of the work that is being done!
