The View is a large, covid-secure restaurant in close proximity of free parking, toilet facilities, and undisturbed views across Seaford bay. The venue is fortunate to have spacious seating areas both indoors and out, including the viewing balcony that runs on the seaward side of the venue.

Town Council Facilities and Concessions
Public toilets, playgrounds, car parks, public spaces, and outdoor sporting facilities are open.
All concessions are now able to open, in line with Government guidance. The Town Council is reminding concession holders of their responsibilities and ensuring that they have the necessary measures in place to maintain social distancing.
Town Council Events and Events on Town Council Land
At this stage, there are no planned Town Council events.
The decision has been taken to alter plans for the Seahaven Armed Forces & Veteran’s Day usually held in late-June, due to the challenges of hosting an event of this nature safely and in line with the restrictions that may still be in place by this date. Details regarding alternative activities and ways to mark this occasion will be announced in due course.
The use of Town Council land is permitted, only once a COVID-specific risk assessment has been considered and approved with the open spaces application.
Town Council Meetings
The Town Council will be returning to physical meetings, starting with its Annual Meeting on Thursday 20th May 2021. Upon reviewing how to hold physical meetings in an accessible and COVID-safe environment, the Town Council has chosen to use Seaford Baptist Church as the meeting venue. This
is due to its large space and equipment available to enable to Town Council to accommodate members, officers, and a limited number of members of the public – all whilst still being able to welcome those unable to attend in person via Zoom and those wishing to watch but not take part via livestream on the Town Council YouTube channel.
The details of any meetings are shared on the Town Council’s website and also issued by email to registered recipients (sign up for these by emailing admin@seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk).
Town Council Projects
Following the decision of the Town Council in 2020 to cease non-urgent projects immediately until further notice, work is now underway with certain projects that have been identified as a priority over the coming year. This includes the 2021 Summer Plan within which the Town Council has identified projects to undertake to best benefit from the anticipated increase in visitor levels to the town this summer, as the nation is bracing itself for a ‘staycation boom’.
To stay up to date with the Town Council’s project work and activities, be sure to look at its Facebook page, website or sign up to email updates (as above).
Town Council Offices
The Town Council Offices were closed to members of the public in March 2020 until Government guidance changed. Heeding the Government’s continued advice, the offices will continue to remain closed until further notice.
Officers continue to carry out their normal duties from home and the telephones are switched to the voicemail system, which is monitored throughout the day, with officers equipped to return calls where necessary. The admin@seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk email account continues to be monitored.
Anyone visiting the shared building at 37 Church Street is reminded to wear face coverings whilst in the shared reception areas. Services offered by the Citizen’s Advice Bureau remain via telephone or online only at this stage.
