Willmott Dixon’s team in London & South has set a target to raise £95,000 for Sussex children’s charity, Chestnut Tree House in 2020.
These funds will cover the cost of all care services at the charity for a two-week period over the next festive season, equating to £6,850 per day. It comes as the company this year passed £800k in total funds raised for the charity, which has been achieved over six years.
The company, which has an office in Crawley, has compiled a packed calendar of events in 2020 to achieve its target, with its people taking on a host of challenges including skydiving, sponsored walks, cake sales and volunteering.
One highlight of 2019’s fundraising for Chestnut Tree House was a trek up Snowdon by 245 of its people.
Chestnut Tree House provides hospice services to children in East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire. It cares for 300 children and young adults from 0 to 19 years who have progressive life-shortening conditions. It currently costs the charity over £4 million per year to provide its care services.
