LS Lowry lived with her until her death in 1939. In the Guardian Peter Bradshaw praised the two leads for providing an ‘entertaining showcase’.

eccentric café society girl is generally considered to be one of her
best roles, but the introverted Hepburn found it challenging because it
required extrovert behaviour. Made in 1961, it received Oscars for Best
Score and Best Song (Moon River).
