The Met Office has issued a Yellow Alert for strong winds to-day which may cause some disruption so be prepared for some delays if travelling.
They may be some rain showers but a mix of sun of cloud is more likely with the gusty wind.
High tide to-day in Newhaven at 1.39 and low at 8.02 pm.
Probably a bit choppy for a swim but sea temperature around 17 degrees.
Just a warning from the RNLI – that scum you see on the sea, especially as it was yesterday, means that the water is not really suitable for swimming as it is effluent and the water should be avoided.
Luckily it seems to disperse quite quickly and the areas around Seaford bay are one of the clearest and cleanest for sea bathing so enjoy the staycation!
