On Thursday 24 September, the government is launching a new NHS app to help trace and restrict the spread of coronavirus in our communities.
Designated businesses and venues that are open to the public are required by law to print and display a scannable QR code issued by Government. This will allow anyone with the app to scan the poster on their mobile phone as they enter the premises to record their contact details.
You can print your own poster including an automatically generated QR code by visiting here www.gov.uk/create-coronavirus-qr-poster.
Soon after you have submitted your information you will receive a QR code poster by email.
You should then:
- Print the poster
- Display the poster somewhere visitors can see it and scan it when they arrive, for example next to the entrance
- Ask visitors to scan the QR code when they arrive, using their NHS COVID-19 app
- Display as many posters as you need to, to avoid queues forming
